Pyrite

Pyrite Meaning and properties

Pyrite is often called “fool’s gold”. Due to its golden glittering metallic sheen, it was “fooling” people for many years, believing that it was gold, although it is much lighter and harder than gold. You won’t be able to scratch it with your nails or a knife. Sometimes it’s also called iron pyrite or cat’s gold. Pyrite isn’t real gold but has amazing properties that make it beneficial in many ways. It’s the ultimate symbol of wealth and luck and a must-have if you intend to attract prosperity.

When you hit it against metal, it will discharge sparks. In Greek, “pyr” or “pyros” means fire, which is what gave pyrite its name. Historically, pyrite was used by Mayans as mirrors and carved into masks. Native American Indians used it in jewellery, for medical purposes, for divination and later it was used in radio receivers and in lithium batteries.

Due to its connection to the earth and fire element, pyrite is a great stone to use when you feel demotivated or weak. It can help to ground you and create confidence, so you can achieve your dreams and goals. Incorporate pyrite into your meditation, to help you boost prosperity and abundance in your life.

Pyrite is also a great protection stone, shielding you from negative energy and it inspires you to recognize your full potential. It can help you to clean your path towards success and prosperity, as well as strengthen your willpower. It can help you create confidence and reinvigorate you. It radiates positivity and is grounding at the same time.
